This is my first attempt in making a pop can (beverage can) alcohol stove. I did not run any burn test or boil test as this is my first experiment. I was expecting jet flames effect from the side holes but the flames looked weak. I think this is due to the size of the holes. I should make the holes smaller. Smaller holes will make the pressure in the stove higher during boiling of the alcohol thus making the vapor to spray out. It will probably make it more fuel efficient too.

Somehow my Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android battery status or indicator is stuck in charging mode even though i have unplugged the Micro USB cable. This symptom is most likely caused by a circuit short in the Micro USB port on the phone. The circuit short can be caused by hardware failure of the Micro USB port or maybe a build up of fuzz in the Micro USB port. Fuzz build up is common as most people and most of the time, the phone was kept inside trousers' pockets. All you need to do is to clean the fuzz build up. I found a forum post that will show you simple steps to clean the fuzz build up.
